Description
Ensure Plus Strength 1.5 kcal/mL is a high energy, high protein, balanced and nutritionally complete formulation with CaHMB, vitamin D, and calcium. It is suitable for people recovering from illness, surgery or who are nutritionallyat-risk and experiencing muscle loss. CaHMB is a derivative of the amino acid leucine and has been shown to protect against muscle loss associated with ageing or disease. It can be difficult to get CaHMB from your diet alone. This is because it is found in very low concentrations in certain foods. For example, you would need to eat over 6,000 avocados to get the 3g of HMB required to support muscle health.
