Nepro HP is a 1.8kcal/ml, energy dense1,2, oral nutritional supplement and tube feed, for use as a sole source of nutrition or as a nutritional supplement for patients with:

  • Chronic or acute kidney disease who are on haemodialysis or continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD)
  • Cirrhosis
  • Those with other conditions requiring a high-energy, low electrolyte, low volume enteral feed

In a study of NEPRO as supplemental nutrition, patients on dialysis had1:

  • Increased serum albumin
  • Increased serum prealbumin
  • Improved nutritional status (as signed by SGA [subjective global assessment]).

Nepro HP has CARBSTEADY® carbohydrate blend designed to help manage blood glucose response.

This is due to the presence of fibersol, a slow digested, low glycemic carbohydrate4,5. It is also enriched with a prebiotic FOS. Prebiotics may help support the management of uremia6.

Nepro HP is available in vanilla flavour in a 500ml ready-to-hang bottle and attaches directly to Abbott Nutrition giving sets.

PREPARATION

  • Use Instructions

Ready to hang. Shake well. Open immediately prior to use. Once opened, cover and place in refrigeration, discarding any unused feed after 24 hours. Store unopened at room temperature avoiding prolonged exposure to light. Packaged in a protective atmosphere.
